Good work, guys! And good choice with Draplin, a guy I can relate with!

    Enjoyed this very much.

Great interview with a talented, well-rounded, level-headed artist. I was glued to my computer for over an hour, so taken with Aaron and the story of his graphic metamorphoses.....Even though I lived it, his story was enlightening, entertaining and humbling.

Now that was an awesome podcast!

I think it was exactly what RBTL (or maybe me as a listener of RBTL) needed, as a community we seem to take occasional detours up our own arses and I found this podcast brilliantly grounding.

I can particularly relate with Aaron's story as I (at the age of 24) am only just about to graduate — too many winters of chasing bluebird powder days. So this was pretty comforting advice to hear.

Thanks Matt and Aaron, you guys nailed it again.

This was such a great episode. I love hearing from more down to earth designers who are talented but nevertheless know how to relate to real people. Gives me hope for our profession. We all might fair better in today's economy if we have Aaron's attitude.

Thanks for the inspiration RBtL and Aaron. It's great to hear from a local designer who is down to earth. As a designer in my first job since college I really appreciate hearing about the journey to career success. I've definitely become humbled the deeper I get into my career but I'm very happy in my pursuit.

The second he said that I was hoping someone would quote it once we published. That's a good one to keep in mind.

This is really inspiring to me and touches on design topics that I identify with and admire. I hope this guy writes a book soon. Maybe he'll be in "How to be a Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul 2" It's a crime he wasn't in the 1st one.

One of the best RBTL episodes yet. Great to hear from a guy who got to where he is by hard work and persistence. It's always inspiring to hear the back story of some of these "big name" designers. I even went back for another listen. Keep them coming guys, they are great motivation.
